Whether it’s an in-line store or kiosk in shopping centre food courts, or mobile units such as food trailers, and food trucks, Nathan’s Famous has a business model that suits your budget and lifestyle. Nathan’s Famous will assist you in securing a specific site in shopping centres or street front locations. Stores and kiosks can range in size from under 20sqm up to 100sqm.
The total investment for kiosks and stores will depend on the size of the site and location, but typically range from $250,000 to $400,000+.(inclusive of all fees, design & fitout, equipment and training).

MOBILE BUSINESS UNITS

Alternatively, our mobile business model offers self-contained, semi-permanent Trailers and completely mobile Food Trucks that you can operate within a specified territory. They don’t require any additional access to any utilities at the venues and locations where they are placed.
A mobile business means you’ve got lower set up costs, lower occupancy costs, and lower wages. It’s flexible too when it comes to trading hours.
The total investment for mobile business units will range from approximately $133,000* to $170,000* (inclusive of all fees, build, equipment and training).

When you go through the Nathan’s Famous Franchisee Approval Process, you’ll go through a series of interviews so that we can get to know each other, ask questions and make sure we’re suited to you, and you’re suited to us. After all, franchising is just like a marriage – it’s an ongoing partnership where we need to work together to achieve success.

So what are the qualities you need to have to be successful?

Like in any retail business, it’s all about the people. You’ll be dealing with all kinds of people from the Franchisor, your staff, customers, suppliers, landlords, council, food safety inspectors, your local community etc, and it’s your ability to deal with them appropriately that will determine your success.

If you have the right personality traits, we can train you in all the rest.

We’re looking for the following characteristics in you:

  • You love talking to people and building relationships

  • An absolute focus on customer service and operational excellence.

  • The performance of your business depends on you and the time and effort you put in. Be hands-on, and be proactive.

What you can expect from us

  • Assistance in identifying and approve site locations, including negotiating lease terms & conditions.

  • Assist with design, fitout, equipment procurement and statutory authority approvals.

  • Provide initial and ongoing training.

  • Marketing support for Brand level and Local Store marketing.

  • Ongoing support (we’re here when you need us).

  • As we grow, we’ll have greater buying power.

  • Access to Operations Manuals and Training resources.
